Program Measurement Tool • Criteria for determination of State’s eligibility under the State Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) Program • Primarily used to determine “…sufficient patrol (and)…adequate enforcement…” as well as “…adequate State boating education program… “ (46 USC 131)
Program Measurement Tool • First promulgated in 1974 and was administered by the CG District Offices to approve the newly developed State RBS Programs for funding. • Current model has been changed to allow for the growth in boating and the growth in the State programs.
