( THE CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 31.1-3)
Minister:In You, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame;
People:Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me!
Profession of Faith (Westminster Confession of Faith, Sec. 16, No. 2)
…good works, done in obedience to God’s commandments, are the fruits and evidences of a true and living faith.
By them believers show their thankfulness, strengthen their assurance, build up their fellow believers,
adorn the profession of the gospel, shut the mouths of the adversaries, and glorify God.
They are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
so that, bearing fruit unto holiness, they may attain the outcome, which is eternal life.
My God, I bless You that You have given me the eye of faith, to see You as Father,to know You as a covenant God,
to experience Your love planted in me.Be pleased to live and move within me, breathing in my prayers
inhabiting my praises, speaking in my words, living in my life, causing me to grow in grace.
Your goodness has helped me believe, but my faith is weak and wavering, its light dim,
its steps tottering, its increase slow, its backslidings frequent.
Lord, fan this divine spark into a glowing flame! When faith sleeps, my heart becomes an unclean thing,
the fount of every loathsome desire, the cage of unclean lusts all fluttering to escape, the toxic tree with deadly fruit.
Lord, awake faith to put forth its strength until all heaven fills my souland all impurity is cast out.

Minister:But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
I hear the Savior say;“ Thy strength indeed is small,Child of weakness, watch and pray;Find in Me thine all in all.”
Jesus paid it all;All to Him I owe.Sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow.
Lord, now indeed I find Thy pow’r, and Thine aloneCan change the leper’s spotsAnd melt the heart of stone.
Jesus paid it all;All to Him I owe.Sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow.
