2.How do we understand the historical phraseology of German in the HiFoS-project?
Goals of the HiFoS-project • linguistically: investigation into different types of formulaic expressions in historical German texts of different genres from 750 to 1700 in their textual (or social) dynamics and variation • computer linguistically: development of a MSQL/php-database
historical electronic text corpus linguistic database JPHRAS (Dr. Kleine) art historical database Gnomisches Wissen (Dr. Münch) digitalized original manuscripts
Goals of the HiFoS-project • linguistically: investigation into different types of formulaic expressions in historical German texts of different genres from 750 to 1700 in their textual (or social) dynamics and variation • computer linguistically: development of a MSQL/php-database • online bibliography with the secondary literature on historical formulaic language(http://www.hifos.uni-trier.de/Bibliographie)
What does it mean for the „phraseology-regional“ approach? way 1: Research on variation in the usage of one formulaic expression in different text types of a given historical region
