www.themca.org.uk MCA Criterion checked prior to introducing all new postal and distribution suppliers: • Supplier will have provided written confirmation of services provided including delivery areas covered, expected delivery performance and pricing structure. • Supplier will have provided a minimum of 2 existing user references and these will have been verified prior to use. • A full site visit of all new service providers will have been undertaken to confirm delivery network, operational processes and staffing levels. • Trading and credit references will be obtained to confirm suitability. • Service testing will have taken place prior to the full introduction of any new service.
www.themca.org.uk • Transit Testing • What is currently available? • Individual MCA members do conduct testing. • Testing is not like for likeand too varied, so exact comparisons are difficult. • MCA Quality of service sub-committee. • Regularly review problem delivery areas and address any issues with the relevant service provider.
www.themca.org.uk • IPC Testing (International Post Corporation) • The InternationalPostCorporation (IPC) is a cooperative association of 24 member postal operators in Europe, North America and Asia- Pacific. • IPC’s 24 members are responsible for delivering 80 percent of the world’s total mail volume. • Members recognise IPC as the natural partner and industry organisation for improving service quality, promoting cooperation and interoperability and for providing informed analysis on the postal and adjacent markets.
