  3. Chattanooga State – Early Results • Developmental Math • 65% success rate in Int. Alg S2010 • 67% success rate in Int. Alg F2010 • 48% success rate before redesign • Continuous Enrollment Plan • 95 students completed 2 courses F 2010 • 13 exited dev math, started in college math • 1 student completed Int. Alg and Stats F2010 • Enrollment and Cost Containment • Dev Math Enrollment Increase of 20+% • Costs held constant – Cost/FTE reduced by 20+% • More students in College Math than in Dev Math S2011

Introducing Redesign In High Schools • ECHO Program (Early College Hybrid Online) • Used to expand early college • Students meet in a classroom and in a lab (50/50 to 0/100) • Struggling students get help when they need it • Expands Opportunities for Early College • ECHO solves staffing challenges present in early college • Quality Matters • Consistency is improved through online instruction • Student success increases through a redesign approach • 98% success rate in Statistics and Precalculus I Fall 2010 • Retention and Graduation • 98% of early college students either graduate or are still attending 5 years later vs. 16% if they aren’t in early college
