According to an Australian study, the use of hearing aids or cochlear implants in case of permanent<br>hearing loss may develop better hearing skills. As per the research, done on kids of 5 years born with<br>permanent deafness, the data on language skills are examined for those who received similar<br>interventions at different points of childhood. Language outcomes of children with the cochlear<br>implant at different ages were compared. Those who got it at 2 years of age had very bad outcomes<br>as compared to those who got it at 6 months of age.
