Harte PTO:Setting expectations for parents too! • Goals: • Open, honest and timely communication between school and parents • Open, honest and timely dialogue between parents and Board of Trustees, central office, administrators etc. • Recognize the skills, talents and competencies each parent and teacher can contribute and match them with the needs at hand • Use network of business and community contacts to assist school in meeting financial needs
Recent Successes Membership: 135 in 2007/ approx. 140 in 2008 Increased diversification of 2008/2009 PTO Board - different perspectives add value Annual school fair: $10,000 in 2007/ $7,800 in 2008 $5,000 grant from Lowe's Workdays scheduled twice a year: Averaging 20 - 25 parent and teacher volunteers for these events hartepto.com
