Students’ expectations to the course II. Course Objectives • Knowledge about theories and paradigms in the field of CIE • Problematizing comparative studies as basis for policy and planning • Insight into education systems in different countries
III. Content • The field of comparative and international education • Education and national development • Globalisation • Scandinavian and Norwegian Education
IV. Organising of Learning • Lectures • Group work • Group work presentations • Individual papers • Supervision
V. Exam • An individual assignment (5 pages) on a self-selected central topic within the field of CIE – to be graded by the course professor (graded A,B,C,D,E,F) • A group assignment (5 pages) based on the course literature (graded pass/fail) • Oral presentation of the group work
VI. Expectations to students • Syllabus being read • Systematic writing • Active listening during lectures • Active discussion about course content
