  5. Rev. Charles K. Sullivan Pastor Back Father Sullivan was born in Newark, New Jersey. He was raised Catholic and enjoyed being an Altar Server for his local parish. At a young age, Father Sullivan knew he want to follow the path of Christ and began following his path of priesthood. He was ordained a priest at the age of 23 on May 01, 1964 in Union City, NJ. Joshua was born and raised in Fort Myers. He attended Florida State University and received a degree in Communications in 2005.   10. Parish History Next Page 1 of 6 Our new parish community was conceived in the mind of Bishop John Nevins in the fall of 2001. Father Charles Sullivan was chosen to be the pastor. After an exhaustive search, Joseph and Roberta Noonan, through their kindness and love offered to share the gymnasium of their excellent school for our worship space. Our first Mass was celebrated there on Saturday, January 12, 2002. Quit Restart Main Menu

  11. Parish History Back Next Page 2 of 6 Plans for the new church were undertaken almost immediately after our first weekend of liturgies. On March 1, 2002, we were canonically erected as a parish. On June 20, 2002 plans for the new church building were put on display and shared for the first time with our parishioners. Quit Restart Main Menu

  12. Back Next Page 3 of 6 Parish History In November of 2002, a huge pledge fund drive “kicked” off with Gerry Faust, former head football coach of Notre Dame University. Speaking engagements, dinners and a pledge banquet brought in the first pledges toward our 7 million dollar worship and office space complex here on Palomino Dr. Quit Restart Main Menu

Back Next Page 4 of 6 A ground breaking ceremony was held on April 2003, the church offices were moved from Noonan Academy to rental space at Daniel’s Center Dr. and the community and education center at the same location opened in June, 2004 with Vacation Bible School. Parish History Back Page 6 of 6 On Holy Thursday, March 24, the long awaited certificate of occupancy was received and Mass that evening the the main nave of the church was an overwhelmingly beautiful liturgy. From our small beginnings of 350 parishioners in a school gymnasium to our current enrollment of 1262 families, we are proud and happy to celebrate our faith everyday. Quit Restart Main Menu

  17. Choir Back Next Adult Choir Practice is 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Thursday nights in the choir loft of the church.   19. Altar Servers Back “Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice before him .” Psalm 2:11 Altar Servers play a useful role in our liturgies. The Priest relies on the Altar Server to aid him during Mass or other liturgical celebrations. Boys and girls in fourth grade or older who are interested, please contact the church at 239-561-2245 .   21. Bible Study Back “Every word of God is tested; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Proverbs 30:5 Want to meet new people? Want to deepen your faith? If you answered yes to these questions, bible study may be for you. Weekly sessions are help on Wednesdays nights from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.   27. EDGE & Life Teen Back EDGE The 2006 EDGE program is for grades 6th through 8th. It takes place at the Lumen Christi House Wednesday Evening from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Life Teen The 2006 Life Teen program is for grades 9th through 12th. It takes place at the Lumen Christi House after Sunday 5:00 pm mass. EDGE & Life Teen Current Activities Back EDGE & Life Teen Car Wash EDGE & Life Teen will be having their second Mass Car wash at the 4:00 pm, 9:15 am, 11:15 am & 5:00 pm masses on the 21st and 22nd of October. You pray while we wash!! Monies will support EDGE & Life Teen activities Take a break! Need an escape from your pesky sibling, or want to do some homework in a quiet, positive space? Come to the LC House. When your work is done, it is time to have some fun.
