  2. water • Water is an important natural resource which is essential for all living beings. • It is essential for the existence and survival of plant and animals. • we all use water for drinking and other household activities like washing, bathing, cooking, cleaning and so on. • It is also used for irrigating and fields, generating electricity.

  3. How much water do you use ? • Now, Estimate the number of times you do the following on a day you are at home. • Shower • Flush the toilet • Brush your teeth • Shave • Do a load of laundry • Run the dishwasher

  4. Do you know ? Flushing the toilet accounts for 30% of household water usage. By placing a brick in the toilet cistern we cloud save 10 million liters of water a day.
