Wemadeourownkissinghands, whichwewillkeep in ourcubbies so thatwe can look at themeveryday and be remindedjusthowmuchourfamiliesloveus. Pete theCat First Day Jitters Thatsillly Pete theCatcame to ourschoolonThursday and leftcluesforusallovertheschool to try to catch him. Weneverdidfindthatsneakycat, but he surpriseduswith a yummytreat in ourclassroom. As Pete alwayssays…”It’sallgood”. WereadthestoryFirst Day Jittersand discussedwhatitfeelslike to havethe “jitters” and to be nervous. Thechildrenlearnfromthestorythateventeachersgetnervousforthefirstday of school! Weenjoyedjitterjuice, whichhelpedall of ourfirstdayjittersdisappear! Reminder: *Ask yourfirstgrader to try to name a new friendtheyhavemade.
