Marks transition towards the resolution of the primary conflict or towards devastation (if tragedy). Falling Action: Significant tension as conflict unravels. Protagonist wins or loses. Plot moves towards final resolution. Climax Falling Action Rising Action: Tension rises as conflict emerges. Characters attempt to resolve conflict or achieve goals. Often composed of multiple problems that proceed logically from one another. Composed of both primary and secondary conflicts. Denouement: Moment of catharsis. Conflict resolved.
