  2. Short term Goals • To foster and enhance critical and analytical thinking. • To motivate and encourage the students. • To channelize and monitor their language skills.

  3. Solutions to Anticipated Challenges Solutions • Encouraging and gradually involving them tactfully. • Directing and guiding how to build vocabulary and improve language skills. Anticipated Challenges • Hesitant students • Language problems

  4. Long term Goals • To make students confident, competent and creative to face 21st century challenges by adopting 21st century approaches and skills.

  5. Instructional strategies and tasks • Intervening an interactive class to enhance their comprehension and communication skills. • Group/ Individual assignments to help them improve their written and spoken language skills.

Conclusion • By the end of the three days lectures the class would have understood all about the poem and poet. • They would get familiar with the form of poem that is a sonnet (types and parts of sonnet) • They would be capable of appreciating critically; attempting any question based on a sonnet in any form i.e. either a quiz, short answer or paraphrasing of poem.
