  2. The Grocery Excursion • Find Day 34, “The Grocery Excursion” • You are visiting your grandparents for one week and have been given $200 to purchase groceries for the three of you. Your grandmother has asked you to plan the menu for the week, make your shopping list, and go to the grocery store to shop for the groceries. You know that your grandparents always eat well-balanced meals, and you feel honored that your grandmother would trust you with such an important task.

  3. Your task • Plan a well-balanced menu of meals for the week. • Estimate the cost of each item and the total cost. • Locate and record the prices of all the items you need to purchase. • Find the total cost of all your groceries. • Modify your menu and recalculate if necessary. • Determine how you will pay and the change you will receive. • Prepare your presentations.

Group Expectations • As a class make a list of rules you and your group will need to follow in order to work well together and get the task done. • Materials Needed: • “Menu of Meals” (Day 34) • “Grocery Excursion Price List” (Day 34) • If need items not found on the list: • Food Lion Weekly Ads • Lowes Foods
