Our courses GENERAL Studies Continuing with our phenomenal success over the last more than two decades with thousands of successes and toppers into the coveted Civil Services, SRIRAM's IAS announces the 10-month General Studies Integrated Course for the Preliminary and the Main Examination to be conducted in 2019 by the Union Public Service examination (UPSC). Coaching is imparted in English medium only. General Studies Paper One (Paper-I) classes are held for two hours daily. Duration of Paper-II class is also 2 hours. For more information, Click Here Civil Services Examination The civil service exams are conducted by UPSC in India for recruitment of various designated posts .i.e. IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IRS (Indian Revenue Service). To appear in UPSC civil service exam, a candidate must hold a degree from any recognize university. Union Public Service Commission The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's central recruiting agency. It is responsible for appointments to and examinations for All India services and group A & group B of Central services. The agency's charter is granted by Part XIV of the Constitution of India, titled as Services Under the Union and the States. The commission is mandated by the Constitution for appointments to the services of the Union and All India Services. It is also required to be consulted by the Government in matters relating to the appointment, transfer, promotion and disciplinary matters. The commission reports directly to the President and can advice the Government through him. For more information Click Here CSAT General Studies at the Preliminary level is divided into two papers- GS-I and GS-II. GS-II is popularly known as CSAT. CSAT, from 2015 Preliminary, is a mere qualifying exam. The entire weight is on Paper-I of GS. CSAT: CSAT classes are held a few weeks after the General Studies (Paper-I) classes commence so that candidates get familiar with the examination and the pattern, for them to pick up the subjects better.
