Common errors: caption • You MUST have a caption • NO first person in the captions • Don’t label the caption, just make it look different with font / italicizing
Common errors: title • You MUST have a title. • Be creative - “Poem” sucks as a title for a poem!
Common errors:FORMATTING • No text boxes • No word art • Fonts need to be “boring” until it’s perfect, then you’re free to choose a fun font • No names / headers – that info will be on the cover and is unnecessary in the document itself
Tip #1 • Create a S2S folder and keep all your pieces in it. • Consider keeping separate folders within it for each piece.
Tip #2 • Name documents with last name and piece number. It will make everyone’s life much easier. • Preferred: put the piece number in the subject line of the email when you submit it.
Tip #3 • As you edit and revise each piece, add a number or letter to its document title. • Example: • Gregg 1.a would denote the first revision of the first piece • Gregg 3.4 would denote the 4th revision of the 3rd piece.
