And for you to understand how it can be done, here are some tips and techniques that you can use.
You have to build a routine. This habit should be around your pet puppy’s needs and this can be predictable while they are still young. It’s already a common knowledge that once the puppy wakes up first thing in the morning; you have to bring them right away to the garden to let them pee.
As puppy eats its meal, their digestive system was stimulated. Keep in mind that puppies do urinate within the fifteen minutes of their meal time and will defecate within the half an hour of eating. When they get excited, they urinate – so you have to take your puppy out especially if it wants to play.
Keep a record of when your puppy eats, urinates and defecates. You could also use terms like wee, poopoos or chum chums while your puppy do the action so that in the near future, it will serve as a prompt to your pet. For every successful action of your puppies while applying the cue words, reward them with snacks that they love which could motivate them to do better.
Make a habit for the puppy to go to the garden for them to learn that it is their toilet area. You should always accompany them whenever they go to the garden. Keep in mind that toilet training your puppy could become unsuccessful if you train them wrongfully. These common errors in potty training your puppy are overfeeding, irregular times of feeding, feeding your puppy with unsuitable diet.
Leaving the puppy frequently indoors, which would make the puppy be used inside the house. Expecting the puppy to do the initiative, like asking for food or if going outside the house to pee of defecate.
