Overview • IoT Service Enablement in FI-WARE will provide a set of IoT-oriented Generic Enablers useful for Future Internet Applications dealing with the Internet of Things (IoT Applications) • IoT-oriented Generic Enablers are further classified in sub-chapters dealing with: • IoT communications, • heterogeneous IoT resource management • IoT-oriented data handling • IoT-oriented process automation.

Overview • Things - instance of a physical object, living organism, person or concept • IoT resources - computational elements (software running on devices), enabling to gather information about things and/or act upon them. • The association between devices on which IoT resources are running and Things may be materialized in different ways: • physical attachment • physical embedding • physical neighborhood • logical relation • etc
