CSKC • Objectives: • To train and educate 250,000 participants on ICT programs from the local communities within less than 18 months upon project initiation. • To help bridge the digital divide and mind gap that currently exists at the rural communities. • CSKC help to ensure that the underserved and especially the outlying and rural areas,of the Malaysian population are provided with access to information, communications and multimedia services, which is common amongst the urban population. • A one-stop centre to disseminate and collect valuable information for the community
CSKC • Create community awareness on ICT and its benefits • Upgrade and enhance the ICT skills for rural communities • Create ICT savvy SME’s from the local community • Assist in the National IT Agenda in transition into a knowledge based society • Provide a conducive environment to facilitate the development of rural ICT adoption.

CSKC • Students • Students will be greatly encouraged to utilize the facilities at the CSKC to research for information, analysis, review of past examination questions, access to digital libraries locally and abroad and also examination preparations. These student groups include those from the primary, secondary and up to tertiary level. • The centre will also gather success stories from schools and universities locally and from around the world. These students, with the assistance of the project champions will organize user and discussion groups using the CSKC as a platform to access information from the biggest library in the world – The Internet. • This will be and ongoing activity that will greatly benefit the students from the local community.
CSKC CSKC – Community Training • Be able to navigate MS Windows; • Be able to surf the net and use the various search engines; • Be able to understand and surf websites and subsequently upload and download contents; • Be able to understand and learn basic management skills.
CSKC CSKC Development • The creation of the knowledge module – content creation, services, communication • The development of the delivery system – e-learning, training (physical) • The infrastructure – connectivity, computer hardware and its peripheral.

CSKC SustainabilityCommunity Learning & Certification • Community level certification program; • First level endorsed by Malaysian National Computer Confederation (MNCC) • Second level endorsed by Microsoft under Unlimited Potential program. • Third level endorsed by Certiport under Internet and Computer Core IC3 certification • These certification programs will provide a lifelong learning experience and ensure the telecentres sustainability
