  2. Paithalmala • Paithalmala is lovely, a quiet hill station situated 60 km from kannur and 44 km away from haliparampu, Kerala at 4500 ft above sea level near of Kerala-Karnataka border. It is an ideal spot for trekking as well. Here mountains lay spread more than 500 acres of dense forest. It is one of the mind-blowing hills in the kannur district. Vaithalmala is another name of paithalmala. This place lies in western ghats. • The trek route of paithalmala makes the delightful to photographers for rolling mists cover the hillsides and lush green landscape.
