  5. Lecture • -Europe was HELLA mad at Germany. • - Wanted a treaty that required reparations and included a war guilt clause

  6. Wilson’s Plan • -Wilson wanted a “treaty to end all wars,” not punishment

  7. Wilson’s Fourteen Points

  8. The Fourteenth Point • -League of Nations: an organization of countries that would work together to prevent war and support democracy • -Europe rejected the 14 Points, except for the League of Nations

  9. US says “Nuh uh” • -Congress refused to ratify the treaty- they HATED the idea of the League of Nations
