Where We Have Come From Community Vision: A community where... • We promote our unique identity to highlight our cultural assets • There is an ease of access to community information for residents and tourists • The arts, culture and heritage sectors excel through collaboration • There is an enhanced focus on: • Our natural heritage resources • The strategic development of arts, culture and heritage hubs • An interconnection of these hubs through natural pathways (trails, bike paths, water) • The regeneration and beautification of Highway 7 to reflect Halton Hill’s diversity • The repurposing of heritage/existing infrastructure for arts, culture and heritage uses • Arts, culture and heritage considerations are integrated into local planning processes

New Organizational Vision & Mission HHCR’s vision is to improve the quality of life of current and future HH residents through: • Increasing access to information about and involvement in a/c/h sector activities and organizations • Strengthening local a/c/h organizations and resources, and • Ensuring broad and effective partnerships and planning occur to support these sectors Our organization will accomplish this through: • Focusing on broad issues that have a wide/in-depth impact • Actively developing a wide range of partnerships with considered parameters, and • Maintaining a well-respected, collaborative, fun-filled, goal-oriented and financially sustainable organization

  13. 2011 Grant Possibilities - CSIF • Cultural Strategic Investment Fund • 2010 application submitted Nov. 30th for $40,980 (of $78,270 project costs) • Website/branding/ marketing; 12 months • 2010 request includes: • Community Branding/Marketing - $15,000 • Website Design & Development - $13,520 • Staffing Extension - $12,480 for 1 day/wk extension for 12 months • Youth Focus

  14. 2011 Grant Possibilities - BCAH • Building Communities through Arts & Heritage • 2010 application submitted Sept. 30 for $28,900; February 2011 answer expected (not successful in 2010 due to incorporation date) • Focus is BDF 2011 including: • Volunteer recognition/t-shirts/training - $2,200; • Sponsorship recognition - $600 • Insurance - $1,700 • Local bands/activities - $10,800 • Venue Rental - $3,000; • Technical Equipment - $4,800 • Marketing - $6,000

Core Funding Possibility – THH MOU • Decision pending January 24th, 2011 • 5 year term with annual renewal and reporting • Administration (meeting materials, printing/photocopying, insurance, office supplies, postage etc. @ $500 per month): $6,000 • Staffing (.7 FT equivalent outsourced contract = 3.5 days per week @ $60,000 per annum): $42,000 • Annual Symposium (organization, printing, speakers, participants materials and rental costs less participant fees & sponsorships): $5,000 • Website Development and Maintenance (cost to host, update and maintain website and links @ $ 250 per month): $3,000 • $60K requested, $40K recommended January 11th • http://www.haltonhills.ca/townhall/councillors.php
