Vermeer • Yes, he painted the Girl with the Pearl Earring • Renown for his interiors, middle class dwellings with men, women, children doing household chores • View of his paintings makes us feel like we are peeking or evesdropping • Used the Camera obscura ( a drawing device meaning “dark room”, preceeded the development of the camera)
