Online Applications • 2014-15 Beacon, Gratitude and Promise Grant applications available July 1 through CLMS and grant webpages. (www.elks.org/enf/ grants). • 2015 Impact Grant applications available online June 17. • Secretaries have automatic access • Complete and submit online.
ENF Grant Coordinators • Lodge Secretary has ability to appoint anyone from the Lodge as a Grant Coordinator. • Grant Coordinator can access online grant applications through the ENF website (not CLMS). • Coordinator should be computer savvy. • Lodges can have more than one. • Coordinator should ideally be involved with the grant. • More information on http://www.elks.org/enf/community/WhatsNew.cfm
2014-15 Gratitude Grants: The Basics • $2,000 grants available to all Lodges that reach the GER’s member goal for giving to the ENF. • Application becomes available to your Lodge when it reaches the goal, starting July 1, 2014. • Visit our Reports and Standings page, www.elks.org/ENF/reports.cfm, to check your Lodge’s current per capita. • Must apply by May 31, 2015. • Must be used by July 31, 2015. • Can be used for straight donations, but…

2014-15 Beacon Grants:The Basics • $2,000 grants available to every Lodge, regardless of ENF giving. • Application available July 1, 2014. • Must apply by March 31, 2015. • Must be used by July 31, 2015.
Beacon Grants—The Requirements • Must be a new project for the Lodge, meaning something the Lodge wasn’t already doing without our grants.* • Must be ongoing, not a one-time event. • Must be Elks-led, with much Elks involvement. • Must be an activity, meaning that it requires Elks involvement. *The project must be new the first time the Lodge applies for the Beacon Grant. Ideally, Lodges will use their Beacon Grant for the same successful, ongoing project each year after that.
2014-15 Promise Grants: The Basics • $2,000 grants available to the first 500 Lodges that pledge to hold an eligible event that builds the character and competence of local youth, regardless of ENF giving. • Application available July 1, 2014. • Must apply by March 31, 2015. (However, all 500 Promise Grants are usually gone by October, so apply early!) • Must be used by July 31, 2015.
Promise Grants—The Requirements • Must be used for an Elks-led youth event that meets one or more of these needs: • Provides youth with safe places. • Promotes healthy living. • Offers support from caring adults. • Emphasizes the importance of education. • Encourages community service. • Must be an activity, meaning that it requires Elks involvement.
