Senior Timeline *Now is the time to apply--I will have "Drop in days" on GOLD DAYS & a day specifically for SCC applications *Apply now even if you are still working on meeting admission requirements *Continue to research colleges, go to college fairs, go on college visits, meet with college reps

  4. Senior Timeline *May 1 is when you make your final decision but apply early so you don't miss out on scholarships *Need some extra assistance--sign up for a Mentor at Mentors4College *Interested in the military? Sign up to take the ASVAB at FHN on Nov. 26: https://tinyurl.com/ASVAB-FHN

  5. SCOIR account not activated? 1) Go to https://app.scoir.com/signup?hsid=262844 2) Enter an email address (one that you will check) 3) Check your email & follow the prompts to complete Registration • You can also download the SCOIR app • What can you do with SCOIR? 10 min overview

  6. Requesting a transcript • Request a transcript through your SCOIR account. Login at scoir.com • Chromebook will be set up near secretaries' desks • We need your permission to send transcripts • Apply first then send transcripts • Common App.--enter Mrs. Prestidge's info for counselor: 636-851-4959 • Mrs. Balch handles transcripts

FAFSA • Free Application for Federal Student Aid • www.fafsa.gov • Can file starting Oct. 1st • Required by all colleges in order to receive any type of financial aid • Based upon parent & student financial information • Parents MUST be involved in this process • FAFSA frenzy events are held throughout the area for families who need help.

Important Dates • St. Charles Community College Fair—September 26--Register at strivefair.com • HBCU College Fair--Sept 28 @ Harris Stowe • Can submit FAFSA—October 1 • Financial Aid Info Night—Oct. 3 at FHHS at 6:30pm • FAFSA Help Session—Oct. 10 (during Parent-Teacher Conf) • Finish College Applications over Fall Break • National College Fair—October 20 at SLU

  9. ACT Go to www.act.org and create an account to register ACT fees: $52 (no writing)

  10. SAT Go to sat.org/signup to register SAT Fees-$49.50 (no writing)
