  5. State bird • The state bird is the Brown Thrasher.

  6. Cool Fact • Georgia’s population in 1776 was around 40,000. Georgia’s population now is over 8 million.

  7. Governor • Our Governor is Sonny Perdue.

  8. State Flower • Our state flower is the Cherokee Rose.
