  2. problem 1: • You are driving down the highway in the fast lane going 85 mph in a 65 mph zone. You pass an unmarked cop in the right hand lane that quickly turns on his blue lights. The closet exit is 3.2 miles away from you. The cop turns his lights on and starts chasing you 30 seconds after you pass him. You know you can shake the cop if you can exit off the nearest exit before he catches you. The cop is driving 105 mph and you keep going 85 mph.

  3. Answering the following: • Is there anyway you can make it to the exit before the cop catches you? B. If so, how long will it take you to get to the exit? C. How long will it take the cop to get to the exit? • Yes, the driver will exit off the interstates 4.2 seconds before the cop does. • It will take the driver 135.5 seconds to get to the exit. • The cop will approach the exit in 139.7 seconds.

  4. Problems 2: • Find h such that the equation • Has a solution set given by {-23}. +4=x

  5. Working problem out: +4=x +4= -23 = -27
