2. Entering the Classroom Walk in quietly, find your seat And Start warm-up questions.

3. Leaving the classroom Wait for the teacher to dismiss the class

4. Request for attention Teacher raises hand, students raise hand and Be Quiet.

5. School announcements Stop what you’re doing, listen and pay attention.

6. Class Participation Raise your hand and wait to be called on.

7. Sharpening your pencil One at a time, when teacher is not teaching; no permission needed.

8. Turning in papers In “homework” bin (on each group table).

9. When you’re tardy Put tardy slip in “re-admit” box; copy assignments from your neighbor

10. When you’re absent Put readmit in the “readmit box”; copy assignments from neighbor; you have 1 week to turn in make-up work.

11. When the bell rings Wait until your group is dismissed.

12. When you finish work early Do a quiet activity: read a book; start homework; do other class work

13. Visitors in the classroom Rule #s 3 and 7 apply

14. Paper Heading All papers should have a title, name, date, period and assignment # (upper right hand).

15. Moving about in the classroom Raise your hand and wait to be called on.

16. Restroom/Hall Pass Raise your pass, wait for approval, fill it out in ink and sign out.

17. Emergency Drill Line up outside, wait for teacher; go to your 1st period teacher.

18. Assignment Checklist Copied daily; when returned with points, calculate weekly grade and get parent signature.

19. Homework & Late homework Given at least twice a week; not accepted if absence is not verified.

20. Clean-Up Time The last 2-3 minutes of class; check desk/table and floor area.

21. Classroom Doors Use back door to enter and exit; side door is used only when wet or raining.

22. Demo table/Teacher’s desk area Not permitted beyond this area; NO passing in front or back of projector/ELMO cart.
