  3. Fall 2013 Admissions • Accepting undergrad applications from: • First time freshmen (FTF) • Upper division transfers (UDT) • Golden 4 completed with ‘C’ or better • No undeclared majors • Coursework accepted through Spring 2013 for Fall 2013 admissions consideration

  4. Campus Impaction • Priority admission consideration to local admission area applicants. • Campus impaction Transfer GPA cut-off for non-local area will be based on pool of applicants. • Local area determination based on the college(s) where completed majority of units

  5. Local Admission Area • Chancellor’s Office designated service area is our local area • Schools with historical relationships with CSULA Map of CSULA Local Area

Program Impaction • Must indicate alternate major on CSU Mentor Application • Supplemental admissions criteria • Child Development – CHDV 140; min. 2.75 GPA • Criminal Justice – CRIM 101 & 126; min. 2.75 GPA; GPA ranking • Nursing – point system; min. 2.75 GPA • Psychology – Ranked by GPA, min. 3.00 GPA • Social Work – PSY 150 or SOC 201 or SOC 202; min. 2.75 GPA; GPA ranking

AA-T/AS-T Degrees • For Fall 2013, AA-T/AS-T must be completed by Spring 2013. • Verification of AA-T/AS-T completion (or planned completion by Spring 2013) must be submitted to the University by 3/15/12. • Currently, CSULA has 20 approved “similar” AA-T/AS-T degree programs. • Impaction GPA Bump Up • Campus Impaction - .20 GPA bump • Program Impaction - .10 GPA bump

Fall 2013 Timeline • Application filing period • October 1, 2012 - November 30, 2012 • Admission status notifications • For localarea and non-impactedprograms – begins February 2013 • For non-localarea and impactedprograms – begins March 2013 • The University uses EMAIL as the primary method of communication.

Fall 2013 Transfer Deadlines • CSU Mentor Application – 11/30/12 • Application Fee Payment –12/15/12 • Application Updates – 2/1/13 • For applicants with foreign coursework: • English Proficiency Exam scores – 2/1/13 • Optional: AA-T/AS-T verification – 3/15/13 • Enrollment Confirmation Deposit ($100) – 6/1/13 • Orientation Reservation – 7/1/13 • Final Transcript & Test Scores –7/15/13 • Must include Spring 2013 grades and if applicable, AA-T/AS-T degree completion designation

Verification & Appeals • Initial offer of conditional admissions based on self-reported data on CSU Mentor application. • Final college transcripts are used to verify final admissions eligibility. • Students may appeal admission decision only if due to missing info or University error. • Appeals must be submitted within 15 days of notice of admission decision. • Supporting documentation required • www.calstatela.edu/univ/admiss/appeal
