  2. Outline • Who are we? • What’s happening in London? • What is the RSC doing and how can we support you with the Distributed E-Learning Project?

  3. JISC Regional Support Centres • Established in 2000 to support the FE sector • 13 RSCs across the UK. • Expanded role in 2003 to support HE specialist colleges and Adult and Community Learning (ACL). • Support for Curriculum, Learning Resources, Technical, Strategy & Management .

  4. London Q-projects • LSDA-funded, small-scale ILT development projects. • The aim is to fund colleges for the release of time for those staff to develop their ILT skills through action-based projects based on local and national priorities. • LSDA Local Coordinator -ron.mitchell@tower.ac.uk

  5. The New Technology Institute, Kingston University • Providing Foundation Degrees in e-skills for business. • Delivered through 7 FE Colleges. • www.nti.kingston.ac.uk

  6. London Online • One of the Central London Learning Partnership (CLLP) projects, aiming to give all London learners access to relevant, high-quality e-learning through a London Online portal. • Training ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teachers to develop online materials. • 6 FE Colleges. • www.talent.ac.uk/londononline

RSC for London initiatives and support available • Collaboration with the Q-Projects • North Circular Staff Development Network • VLE, Technical, Learning Resources Forums • Joint events with the LSDA, JISC, Becta, HE Academy Subject Centres, Standards Unit • The RSC as a point of contact • Events
