While the nation is facing one of the most challenging times due to the onslaught of the pandemic situation, the Moroccans are heating up for the fight for the same. Till date young Moroccans are showing resilience and innovative solutions to counter the effect of Corona virus in Morocco on the society and economy. These young people are standing on the front and boosting the fight against Covid-19.
Youth and Corona Virus It is these youth that are producing new alternatives like masks, distribution of food and sanitizers are raising the bar for social change. These young people mobilise the massive support that their nation needs in these testing times. All this is vital to Morocco and its national response plans. The Covid 19 has also impacted the overall economic development of the nation. Even the royal family including the young Prince of Morocco, Moulay Hassan have been offering their prayers for Ramadan in solidarity instead of the usual fanfare.
Dramatic Changes Ushered in by Covid 19 Pandemic Considering the dramatic changes brought in by the Corona virus to the nation, the royal family has been making major initiatives to support the weaker sections of the society. Apart from this, the UN population fund or the UNFPA has been used to bring in Salama Operations which is used to distribute the kits needed for personal hygiene and coronavirus prevention. The nation is also set to perform 1.8 million Covid-19 tests within next few days. The plan is to test all the Moroccan regions and achieve the target of 1,790,000 tests by the end of July or maximum by the start of August.
King Mohammed VI also commended the efforts made by Royal Armed Forces or FAR along with the local army against the spread of deadly virus in the nation. Even the royal family has been making cautious strides in the matter. Apart from the low-key Ramadan celebrations, the tight celebration of the birthday of the young Prince of Morocco, Moulay Hassan, to offering their prayers by wearing masks, etc. - all precautions are in place by the royal family as well. As a result, each one of us needs to be extremely careful about the spread of the virus.
It is important to note that the young Prince has since long shed away the tradition of royal hand kissing - even before the virus spread to the nation. Hence, we should be ready to usher in a new Morocco under the future king of the nation - Hassan III.
