Kisumu, also formerly was known as Port Florence, sits on Winam Gulf formerly Kavirondo Gulf, on the north eastern corner of Lake Victoria. • Lake Victoria is the world's largest tropical lake, and the world's second largest fresh water lake with a shoreline of 7,142 km and is divided among three countries: Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania . Hippo Point via Kiboko Bay The sunsets in Kisumu are mesmerizing, Hippo point offers you a chance to experience just that. Located a few kilometers away from the city, get a chance to view amazing wildlife, spot hippos and sleep in the wild at one of the camping sites within the area. Hippo point is a fantastic site for organized boat racing or taking boat tours of the lake with family and friends.
Lwang’niBeach You cannot visit Kisumu without visiting this favorite fish spot. Kisumu is famous for fresh, tasty Tilapia fish and Lwang’niBeach offers you the delicious fish dishes. You can nibble some mouth-watering fish with Ugali and end it all with a boat ride.
