  1. Responsibility Responsible people don't blame others or make excuses for their actions and choices. Take a moment to watch the following movie clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dKmgPMDnCI&safety_mode=true&persist_safety_mode=1&safe=active

  2. Take out a pencil and paper and take a few minutes to answer each of the following questions. Your answers should be honest and thoughtful. You will not turn the paper in, but you will keep it for you to reflect on as you strive to be a more responsible person. • Do you see people blaming others for their own mistakes? In what ways? • In what areas of your life do you play the “blame-game” (giving excuses so you don’t have to own your mistakes)?

  3. 3. Do you agree or disagree with the following statements? Explain your answer and state WHY you agree or disagree for each: • Being responsible is an important aspect of good character. • My grades are not important to me. • Responsible people don't blame others or make excuses for their actions and choices. • A person’s success in life is in their hands completely. • Everyone has a responsibility to make the world a better place.

  4. 4. List at least five things you could say to yourself when you are tempted to act irresponsibly. Explain the meaning and importance of each. 5. Describe something you've done that was really irresponsible. How did you feel afterward? What did you learn from it?
