Edward Abbey • Edward Abbey was an environmentalist writer from the 1960’s to the late 1980’s, who explored the lands and wrote about his findings. • In his younger years, Edward Abbey was an avid park ranger and always maintained the parks that he would go to, this also led him to begin writing. He wrote a very controversial book called “TheMonkey Wrench Gang” which really exposed the affects of spiking trees, cutting wire fences, and even stealing survey stakes.
