INTERACT commitment to capitalisation Definition We prefer: Capitalisation is the possibility to reuse the result of a previous activity (or methodology/programme/project) in order to amplify and increase its impact and/or value (Olivier Baudelet, European Commission)
INTERACT commitment to capitalisation • Why is capitalisation such an important issue? • More value for Europen Territorial Cooperation results • More value for public money and better project quality • To ensure the evolution of programmes, results, policies; thus of the overall Cohesion Policy • To optimise sinergies and to avoid overlapping • not obligatory, but highly recommended! • now more and more programmes name it
