This act of bravery and risk taking proved that his other brothers could lean on him for support when danger arrived in the form of a wolf.Because he threw caution to the wind and made a questionable judgment call, the wolf could not dine on his brothers or him. As you can see, the third bold little pig stood his ground in the face of death and is definitely someone others can count on.

When confronted with peril, many people choose the safe path as opposed to the road less traveled. However, the people who stand up in the face of danger and take risks prove to be reliable in difficult situations. It is said that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. In order to have others look to a person as someone they can lean on, they must believe that person will perform their best when others are at their worst.
