  1. COPY OBJECTS FROM MODEL SPACE TO PAPER SPACE • BREAK A CONNECTION FROM MODELSPACE TO PAPERSPACE. • REMOVE VIEWPORT • CLEAN UP DRAWING TEXT SIZE AND DIMENSIONS • MAKES A USUABLE LAYOUT FOR OTHER PROJECTS

  2. ITEMS ARE CURRENTLY DRAWN IN MODEL SPACE. WE WOULD LIKE TO CREATE A LAYOUT WITH ABOVE INFORMATION NOT TIED TO THE MODELSPACE. CREATE A VIEWPORT ON SHEET THE SIZE NEEDED IN DRAWING.

  3. GET DATA CENTERED/LOCATED ON SHEET WHERE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM. WITH VIEWPORT ACTIVE AND NOT LOCKED: SHEET MANAGER SHEET TOOLS COPY MODEL SPACE TO PAPER SPACE

  4. DRAG BOX ACROSS AREA IN VIEWPORT (model space tab active) ENTER

  5. CLICK ON THE VIEWPORT, DELETE IT

  6. NOW TEXT AND DIMENSIONS CAN BE EDITED AND PUT TO THE CORRECT SIZE. THIS LAYOUT CAN BE USED IN OTHER DRAWINGS BY INSERTING LAYOUT (SEE METHOD)
