First, What is Pro Bono Support? • Supply potential volunteer attorneys and other advocacy partners with information about the legal needs of the poor in Georgia • Provide training and support to pro bono coordinators and other PAI staff members • Develop mechanisms to connect volunteers and partners with low-income Georgians with legal needs • Develop and maintain volunteer training and other supports • Catalog the knowledge of program staff • Capture and share that knowledge with potential volunteers and partners.
Technology and Pro Bono Support • Where are the legal needs? • Where are the lawyers? • Where are others who can help? • Where do you all meet? • Where do you find the time? • Use tech to highlight legal needs • Use tech to find lawyers and to engage them • Use tech to thread partners together • Use tech to meet • Use tech to reduce repetition, travel, data gathering
