Grant Forward Administration Console • Administrators may sign-in to the console at http://admin.grantforward.com • Access may be granted by administrators who have access to the console • If you have questions about who has been granted access, email us at feedback@grantforward.com
Annotation Console • The annotation console allows administrators to provide institution-specific instructions for proposal preparation. • Annotation is geared toward limited submission opportunities, but supports any type of opportunity. • Instructions entered in this console are only displayed to users from your institution. • Click on “Browse All Limited Opportunities” (A) to begin. A A Limited opportunities are those whose RFPs limit proposals by institution, PI or geography. The Grant Forward system flags these opportunities automatically, and denotes them with a lock icon.
Browsing Opportunities • After clicking “Browse,” the system will first display all limited opportunities by default. • To annotate a specific opportunity, click its title or the “Click here to annotate >>” (A) link in its listing. • You may also search for any other opportunities in the Grant Forward system to annotate. A
Opportunity Information • After selecting an individual opportunity to annotate, its details will be displayed. • On the left, the opportunities details are shown. • On the right, three fields are available for adding additional instructions: contact, submission instructions and deadline.
Annotation Fields • When entering contacts, you may choose from previously entered information, or add a new person. This should be the administrator in your institution responsible for coordinating the proposal. • The deadline field may be used to specify a deadline prior to the sponsor’s final deadline. • Upon clicking “Save,” this information is available to your researchers on Grant Forward immediately. A After saving, a link to view the opportunity on Grant Forward appears (A).
Viewing the Annotation • Both your institution’s deadline and sponsor deadline are available on the detail page. • Your notes and contact (A, B) are displayed with the opportunities submission information. • This information is shown only to researchers from your institution. A B
In Conclusion • Annotation is geared toward limited submission funding opportunities, but can be applied to any item in Grant Forward. • You may provide instructions for your institution’s contact, submission instructions and internal deadline. • After saving, this information is available on Grant Forward immediately. • Annotated information is shown only to members of your institution.
