Introduction • Wordpress • a Content Management System / blog • easy to use • very cost effective • allows • Admin – manage a blog • Public – contribute or comment the post posted by admin
Login • Go to http://www.yourname.1koop.my • Enter • Username • Password
Designing Blog1.Theme • Click Themes under the Appearance tab • Click Install Themes tab • Click Search / Upload / Featured / Newest / Recently Updated • Choose one of the template • Click preview • to see a preview of how the blog will look like if the theme are chosen • Click Install

Writing and publishing blog1.Pages • Pages are for content such as • About Me • Contact Me • It will appear in the menu at the top of the blog, so the title should be short. • To create a page • Click Add New under the Pages tab • Fill in title and description • Click publish

Writing and publishing blog2.Post • Title • Start with a captivating, descriptive title. • Post: • can contain text, links and images. • can format it will italic, bold, colors, bulleted lists, etc. • To create post: • Click add new link under the posts tab • Fill in title and description • Click publish
Writing and publishing blog2.Post : Adding Links • Highlight the text • Click on the chain-link icon • Type the link into the window (or copy & paste it from your browser). • The link will start with “http://…” • Click Add Link button

Writing and publishing blog3.Categories • Allow the broad grouping of posts topics describe a post. • To create categories • Click the Categories link under the Posts tab • For example, • a post entitled “Selamat Ulang Tahun Ke-13 Ko-EXSAS” , may file it under the Berita & Peristiwa.

Tags • descriptive words about blog post, • ‘keywords.’ - would attract people to read the content of the blog. • similar to categories • can be written in a list (separated by commas) in a text box below post. • free form words • generally describe post in more detail. • For example • If the post title was “Selamat Ulang Tahun Ke-13 Ko-EXSAS” and under the “Berita & Peristiwa” category, you could have tags like, “Ulang Tahun”

Writing and publishing blog6. Comments & Spam • By default, public comments must be moderated before they appear live on the blog. • e-mail will be received whenever people make a comment • To moderate, • click settings • click discussion

Adding Picture To Blog • 2 ways to add images to a post • link directly to an image that already exists on the web • upload one from the computer. • Click the picture icon in the toolbar

Adding Picture To Blog • Enter the url of the image: • http://www.your-website.com/images/image1.jpg • Enter the image title • Enter the Alternate text for the image • Enter the image caption • Set the alignment as follows: • Left - Image goes to left, text wraps to right. • Right - Image goes to right, text wraps to left. • Image Description – Use keywords • Click Insert into Post button

Adding Picture To Blog • Click the Select Files button to navigate to the image on the computer. • Enter a Title • Enter other information (not compulsory) :- • Alternate Text • Caption • Description • Alignment • Size

Pasting from a Word Document • Microsoft Word contains a lot of hidden formatting characters • cause your post to look out of whack • quotes, dashes and other symbols may appear a question mark or a strange symbol.
Pasting from a Word Document • If you paste into your blog editor from a Word Document, follow these steps: • Step 1: Click the Show Kitchen Sink • A new row of icons will appear directly below the existing icons:
