Comp Club Activities • Sports Carnival – 8 Jan 2019 • To encourage students to participate in sporting activities and encourage a healthy lifestyle • Objective to relieve stress after exams and promote students to participate in IFG • Provide a platform for athletes in computing to showcase their competitive spirit and sportsmanship • Types of sports: • Basketball • Football • Frisbee • Captain’s Ball • Dodgeball • eSports
Comp Club Activities • Elderly Community Service – 26 Jan 2019 • Beneficiaries: elderly under Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities • Spring clean homes of elderly and interact with them • Donate essential food and help the elderly prepare for CNY • Deliver grocery items to homes of the elderly • Angel & Mortals – 11-22 Feb 2019 • Foster new friendships amongst students across different majors in SoC • Keeping at least 15% of the participation for international students to help encourage more integration opportunities between locals and international students

SoC Student Awards • Received 21 Applications • Awarded: • Silver – 2 • Bronze – 11 • Certificate – 4 Some of the awards presented during Computing Day 2019:
Internship Briefing – 28 Jan 2019 • Second internship briefing. Response from students was favourable. • Will continue to hold it every semester

NUS Alumni Awards 2019 Award Categories • Eminent Alumni Award • Alumni who have distinguished themselves nationally or globally for their exceptional and sustained contributions and achievements in public or community service; in the arts, sports, culture or entrepreneurship; or in a profession or scholarly field • Distinguished Alumni Service Award • Alumni who have distinguished themselves and demonstrated tangible impact in their chosen fields, and rendered excellent volunteer service to NUS, its predecessor institutions and/or the community. • Outstanding Young Alumni Award • Alumni aged 40 and below who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields. They may also have rendered excellent volunteer service to NUS and/or the community while exemplifying the best attributes of youth in today's world.
Alumni Engagement • SoC CNY Lunch – 11 Feb 2019 • 40 alumni attended • President’s Dialogue Lunch – 21 March 2019 • 10 alumni met with NUS President, OAR Director
CAP: Coding to Achieve Potential New Programme: CAP: Coding to Achieve Potential – a Pilot between SoC and Autism Resource Centre (ARC) • Started in March for adult learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) • Aim is to upskill them in hopes that they will be able to secure better jobs • Curriculum plan as follows: • Dash/Dot/CUE lessons x 4 lessons • WebDev x 6 lessons

Code for Community • Programme to teach kids coding at Ulu Pandan PCF is still going strong Music + Scratch at Upstars Students showcasing Code for Community at OSA/OAR Seeds of Good event
