  2. How did Fritz Sapt and RR know that the king was in Zenda castle? • The knew so because three of D>M’s six were there , the drawbridge was kept drawn back and no one was allowed in or out without order from D.M

  3. Who sent a letter to RR ? Whatdid this person ask RR? • Antoinette du Mauban sent a letter to RR asking him to meet her on that night because she had important news for him . • She asked him to meet her alone in the summer house and show that letter to no one. • She told him that if he refused to go , his life would be in danger.

  4. What news did Madame Antoinette tell RR when she met him? • She told him that in 20 minutestimes three men of D.M would come to kill him , take his body to a low part of the twon . The king would be killed in Zenda .DM would put the city under control of the army , announce himself the king and marry Flavia.

  5. What reason did Antoinetter have for helping Rudolf? • Antoinette helped RR out of jealousy . She didn’t want D.M to be a king and marry Princess Flavia.

  6. How was Antoinetter useful to RR? • First , she warned him of D.M’s plan to get rid of him . • Second, she told him about a ladder against the wall that saved his life.

  7. What was D.M’s men offer to RR?( D.M’s second offer) • They offered him 50 thousand pounds and a safe joureny to the border to go back to England>

  8. What was the new use of a tea table? • R.R used the tea table as shield to protect himself from D.M’s men • He threw the table at the tree men and they all rolled down the steps.

  9. “Four gentlemen round a tea table.” Comment • R.R said these words to Sapt when he came out of the summer house. RR was laughing because he was able to defeat D.M’s men with a simple weapon which is the tea table.
