Green economy is… A Green Economy is one that results in increased human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecologicalscarcities.
The name Green Economy born during the world crisis of 2007 and is strictly linked to increase the price of petrol in 2008 (about 147 dollars for a barrel) followed by a global energetic problem. For thisreasonborn a category of green economy in order to a new way to mean the job: the green jobs
The Green Jobs professions are born or developed with Green Economy, an economy called "green" because it is characterized by a low environmental impact and based on raw materials, sustainable products and services to safeguard the environment and the territory.
The success of the Green Jobs, relative to other professions, is due to their ability to implement the combination of sustainability and economic competitiveness. What are the crafts to include in the category of green jobs?
The crafts included in the category of Green Jobs are numerous and cover various sectors of work are: • renewable energy • energy efficiency in buildings construction, and transportation • infrastructure • products and services

Agriculture • Manufacturing • Research and development • Administration services that contribute to preserving or restoring environmental quality • According to research conducted by UNEP - United Nations Environment Programme, ILO - International Labour Organization and ICTU - International Confederation of Trade Unions).
The interest of the labor market towards these professions is explained by the growth that is going through the Green Economy, as confirmed by the report GreenItaly 2012 -38.2% of recruitment takes place in Italy in the “green fields” despite the crisis; -23.6% of companies (1 of 4) focuses on the Green Economy to overcome the crisis; -14% of companies have made "green" investments in the first six months of 2012 or will do so by 2013; -37.4% of companies "green" is present on foreign markets.
…and also the Europe Strategy 2020 aims to boost the economic structure of the European Union focusing on just a smart, sustainable and inclusive economy to increase employment levels.
