What is the Valley of the Sun Group? • Group of Local Industry and DCMA personnel • Meets quarterly • Meets at Rotating Host Locations in Area • Discusses common problem areas • Discusses new initiatives and their implementation • Elevates shared resolution requests to DCMA HQ and OSD NCMA World Congress 2005 “Prime Time: Contract Management at the Core of the Enterprise”

How did it get started? • Remember the Single Process Initiative? • Shared Ideas on SPI’s • Discussed common problem areas • SPI proposal approve timeframes • Proposal ideas • Renewing SPI’s when regulations or requirements change such as Mil Std’s. • Pushed so ACO’s could make Class 2 changes • Worked together so Component Team Leads could only review the change submitted and not the entire proposal all over again NCMA World Congress 2005 “Prime Time: Contract Management at the Core of the Enterprise”
