  3. Active • Sentence - My job is for an active person – it’s not a desk job. • Definition - Busy and energetic • Antonym- inactive

  4. Careful • Sentence- You should be careful with the patients, especially when you are moving someone who is injured. • Definition – aware of danger • Antonym - Careless

  5. Pleasant • Sentence- some patients are polite and some patients are rude. You need to be pleasant with all patients. • Definition- nice to people • Antonym- unpleasant

  6. Independent • Sentence- A paramedic often works with no supervisors there, so it is important to be an independent works. • Definition- able to work alone • Antonym- dependent

  7. Punctual • Sentence- An emergency can come at anytime. A paramedic should be punctual when coming to work. • Definition – on time • Antonym - late

  8. flexible • Sentence- Every day is different. You have to be flexible. • Definition- able to change easily • Antonym- inflexible

  9. Pronunciation • I haven’t been sick for A WEEK • I’ve lived in OHIOfor21 YEARS • I’ve studied English for18 YEARS
