Grid WG • Kento Aida chair • Assist with partnership in Pragma (MoU) • Affiliate membership, Mutual promotion and support, Joint workshops • Interface b/n APAN and pragma, apgrid, apectel • Interface to user communities, and network communities; workshop with NR area • Support AG workshops – AG coordination?? • Assist with demoes to SC’03 • Develop position paper on role of grids in APAN, and APAN in grids

P2P • Hyun-Chul Kim – chair • Several KR projects, distributed computing, network technologies, commercial toolkits • Wg starting requirements analysis, involving researchers/students in AP; looking at highly-variable bandwidth needs/availabilities in APAN • Will develop new charter through e-mail • Collaboration with I2-P2P

  5. Logistical Networking • Fully virtual meeting – only listeners were physically present  • IBP/LN (US,SG), DiDas (CZ) • (re)start a BoF – may become DataGrid

  6. Potential groups in • Security • Collaboration technologies • Access Grid, • H.323, DVTS, MPEG4, MCS, … • May become engineering teams • Grid WG expanding? • Computational Grid • Data Grid • Collaboration Grid

  7. Chairing • Markus Buchhorn to wind back, but remain as interim chair for a while • Stella Shen (Academia Sinica - TW) to join as deputy chair
