  25. Olympic Games Olympic Games, international sports competition, are held every four years at a different site. The athletes from different nations compete against each other in different sports. There are two types of Olympics, the Summer Olympics and the Winter Olympics. The modern Olympic Games began in Athens, Greece, in 1896. But the Winter Olympics were not established until 1924. In the year of 1940 and 1944, the Olympics were not held because of World War Ⅱ.
