Lesson Planning • Content Standards (CS) and Learning Standards (LS) should be taken from the SoW • Each lesson would usually have one Main Skill and one Complementary Skill • Lesson objectives should be composed based on the Learning Standards • One L.O for each Learning Standard • Very IMPORTANT for the activities to compliment the L. Objectives • Sequencing of the activities: consider Bloom’s Taxonomy

  4. DIFFERENTIATION STRATEGIES • 8 differentiation strategies • At least one type of differentiation strategies should be incorporated in a lesson. • Do not have to deliberately mention in the lesson plan but the activities would indicate Differentiation Strategies

  5. Formative assessment • Check understanding and progress on the spot • quick scan • traffic light • lollipop • exit card • pyramid reflection • 5-5-1 • 3-3-1 • journal

  6. 21st century learning • Wise use of technology as it caters the needs and interest of the learners nowadays • Should encourage pupil centred learning • Must achieve the lesson objectives built based on the Learning Standards

  7. Handling a large and a mixed ability classroom • Peer assessment- guided • Fast finishers assist the late finishers • Student assistant • Provide different role for different students including the role of a teacher/ facilitator during group task • Vary the interaction between students
