Duties and Responsibilities Advise Commander on Substance Abuse matters Identify and conduct administrative reviews of all records and documents Refer alcohol and drug abusers to the SACC for screening Maintain accurate records on Marines with alcohol or drug problems
Drug Testing Screen all personnel annually (regardless of rank) Test at least 10 percent of population monthly under IR premise code Ensure samples are properly prepared and shipped Common discrepancies - Missing chain of custody - Incorrect test premise codes
Drug Testing View results in the Internet Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratory (IFTDTL) after every test Print testing outcome and notify Commander Prepare drug testing determination memo (MRO) Coordinate with Medical to accomplish Medical Officer’s (MO) review of all drug positives
