Charakteristika Poloha: Euroázia, Severná Amerika, Argentína Podnebie: mierne Klíma: horúce letá a chladné zimy Pôdy: černozeme Pestuje sa tu: obilie (najčastejšie pšenica) Zvieratá: syseľ, zajac, rys karakal, sup, orol stepný, mara stepná, lama guanako, nandu pampový, kojot prériový, sajga stepná, kulan Rastliny: trávy, machy, kavýľ, hyacinty, tulipány

  3. Celina - od Kazachstanu po Mongolsko - klíma je extrémne kontinentálna - suchá pôda - v horách nižšie - brezové lesy, vyššie - ihličnaté

  4. Puszta - trávnatá step - na maďarskej nížine

  5. Préria - v Severnej Amerike - v minulosti tu žili bizóny

  6. Pampa - vo východnej Argentíne - husto osídlená, bez lesov - bez mrazov, poľnohospodárske využitie
